The former president's Granddaughter Gets Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut

Young golfer getting ready for significant competition

The rising star has substantial social media following

Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile backers as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns several courses worldwide and frequently plays against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she stated.

Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa essentially told me to play and enjoy myself," she added.

"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with running the country, making him quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

However she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.

"He is the best player in the world," Kai stated.

"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He told me to go out there, relax, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge some of most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation helps introduce the sport to wider groups, specifically reaching youth audiences.

The social media influencer has millions of followers and recently launched her own fashion and living company.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
