Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
