Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, according to an announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence does not mark the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
